Step 1: Metabolic DETOX Meal Replacement Plan

What Is Metabolic Detoxification?

Each year, over 4 billion pounds of chemical pollutants are released into the environment.  Exposure to toxic chemicals and an unhealthy diet can overburden your system.  This Detox program provides specific nutrition to optimize the 3 phases of detoxification in the liver to accelerate toxin removal.

Metabolic DETOX Meal Replacement Plan

After 4 weeks on this program, most people feel more energized and lose 5 - 10 lbs.  How?  Reducing systemic inflammation via detoxification helps to reduce insulin resistance and sugar cravings.  Cutting down sugar can reduce “fatty liver”.  Patients also often report a reduction in swelling, aches and pains after completing this program.

Step 2: Transition to a Modified KETOGENIC Diet

Transition to a Modified KETOGENIC Diet

The ketogenic diet is a heart-healthy food plan that stimulates the production of ketone bodies as cellular fuels. The caloric distribution is about 70% fat, 20% protein, and 10% non-sugar carbohydrates (aka vegetables) rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

It includes healthy fats, such as polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids found in olive oil, avocado, and nuts.  Eat clean, wild, free-range proteins, and avoid starchy or sugary foods like grains, potatoes, juice, soda and sweet fruits.  It’s good to substitute sugar with Stevia or Monk Fruit instead.

In this phase, you will use SmartPhone Apps like “Lose It” or “My Fitness Pal” to track your net carbohydrate.  Key tip:  Keep total daily net carbs to < 50 grams

This diet is gluten-free, dairy-free, and very low in sugar (Stevia or MonkFruit OK), high in fiber and rich in vitamins, minerals, and probiotics.
